It was such a blessing to see the John 3:16 commercial aired today during the Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots NFL Playoff game.
In case you missed the ad, here it is:
Last year, a John 3:16 super bowl ad was refused a spot before the nation’s largest TV viewing audience because it contained too much “religious doctrine,” according to FOX.
However, the commercial does not feature a preacher, sermon or Bible.
It offers a question: “John 3:16, what’s that mean?” and a simple answer, “Look it up.”
Sadly, we seem to be moving towards a day where any mention of God is rejected or censored, even in a commercial with a guy holding a glass of beer.
Are we really concerned about not offending other religions, or simply forgetting the one true God who’s favor makes our freedom possible?
Let’s hope NBC has more courage this year.
What do you think?
